Lyall Gorman will be one of several interesting panellists
at the 8 October Small Business Summit Greater Western Sydney. In the lead up
to the event, Lyall attended the Sydney Hills Business Chamber Chairman’s Lunch
where he voiced his views about the need to plan ahead to meet the cultural
needs of our growing region, including sporting activities. Lyall also believes
that as business owners we have an obligation to tune in and play a role in
shaping the future of our region.
About Lyall Gorman
Foundation Executive Chairman of the Wanderers, Lyall Gorman
is perhaps best known across Western Sydney for his involvement in founding the
Western Sydney Wanderers in 2012. The new A-League soccer team became Premiers
in their first season, at one stage winning 10 matches in a row. Lyall is also
a member of the NSW Cricket Board, holds a Masters Degree in Administration,
and has extensive experience in sports and business administration.
Topics at the Summit
One of the topics likely to come up at the Summit is the
vital link between business, government and community when it comes to
encouraging and supporting residents of Western Sydney in cultural and sporting
pursuits, and planning ahead to accommodate those needs.
In addition to the panellists, Naomi Simson (Red Balloon)
and Craig Rispin (Future Trends Group) will be keynote speakers at the event
which is expected to draw hundreds of small business owners along with VIPs
from business and government, to discuss the future of Western Sydney from a
business perspective.
